YOUR AVH HIRED VEHICLE

Your vehicle is the property of Adapted Vehicle Hire Ltd and will always remain so. Upon request you must return the car to AVH or relinquish the keys to one of our representatives.

Your car rental includes the following:

All servicing and maintenance
Replacement tyres, batteries, and exhausts
Breakdown and recovery

The contract does not cover the cost of:

Interior or exterior damage
Fuel and oil
Replacement and repair to windscreens
Repairs carried out without prior authority
Any Fixed Penalty Fines including Parking fines, Congestion charge Etc.

Should your vehicle need to be taken to a garage for repairs you will need to contact the company (AVH) by telephone. At this point you will be directed to which garage the vehicle must be taken.

 

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

The Vehicle is your responsibility while it is in your custody and care; it needs to be maintained properly.
Therefore please:

Do check the oil / water / battery / tyres.
Do have it serviced at the correct intervals if you hire it for a long period.
Call us to book a service if your vehicle requires it!
Do keep it clean.
Do enjoy your vehicle and drive carefully.
If your vehicle is fitted with an adaption this may also require servicing. Please call us to confirm.

 



SERVICING AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

You can book your vehicle into your local dealer for servicing and routine maintenance once authorisation has been obtained from AVH.

Please note:
Servicing: Vehicles that are still within the manufacturers warranty period must be serviced at the manufacturers franchised dealer.
Breakdown: Vehicles that are still covered under the manufacturers breakdown scheme must be recovered by the manufacturers designated agent.
Tyres: All tyre replacements & punctures must be completed by Kwik Fit.

When your vehicle requires servicing and/or routine maintenance please follow this check list.


1. Call us to confirm what work is to be carried out on 0845 257 1670 and we will point you to your nearest service centre.

2. If we have not already arranged a booking you will need to book the vehicle in with our designated supplier giving as much information as possible. In particular:

Explain that you have an AVH vehicle on hire.
Let them know they will need to call us before any work is carried out on 0845 257 1670.
Explain what work is required on the vehicle.
Give your full address and vehicle location if different.
Give your contact telephone number for the service centre to call you back when the work is complete.

On receiving/collecting your the vehicle following the service/repairs, the service centre will either produce a voucher or an invoice for signature to confirm that the work has been carried out. Please only sign if you are satisfied with the work.

Please note, only AVH can authorise any work that is to be carried out by the garage. If you instruct a garage yourself, you will be liable for any charges incurred.
